Steve Hildebrand has always called Seaforth home.  Many people recall Steve on Seaforth’s Main Street, engaging his creative side as owner of Hildebrand Flowers & Gifts.  A new beginning emerged in Steve’s life, and upon answering the call to ministry, he served as Pastor of Egmondville United Church for nearly fourteen years. Always interested in exploring a fresh endeavor, Steve then sought a new career opportunity and ventured off to Humber College, Toronto in September of 2016. Steve was awarded his Funeral Director’s License in August of 2018 after successfully completing his internship year at McGlynn’s, graduating from the Funeral Service Education Program at Humber and passing the Ontario Funeral Director’s Licensing exams.
The times and seasons of life, have taught much to Steve.  With ways of wisdom, faith and compassion as his guide, Steve will continue to help the people of our community find their way through all that accompanies the death of a loved one.
Steve is married to his wife, Ruth.  They have two grown daughters, Jennie and Emily.  Steve and Ruth’s son Tyler died in childhood.
