Obituary for
Dorothy Dillon
Born in Logan Township on July 1, 1935, Dorothy Leona Angela Dillon passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital, on Friday, August 4, 2017. In her 82 years among us, Dorothy touched the lives of all who knew her with her radiant smile and her friendly demeanor. Throughout her 35 year teaching career, Dorothy endeavored to inspire her students with ways of wisdom and knowledge.
Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her sister Madelyn Ryan of Stratford. She will also be fondly remembered by her 16 nieces and nephews and their families. Dorothy is predeceased by her parents, Louis and Mary (née Curtin) Dillon, siblings and siblings-in-law, Marie and Jim Kelly, Geraldine and Wilf Duffy, Maurice and Eva Dillon, Syl Ryan, and her friend Howard Sinclair.
Visitation will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 3931 Perth Road 180, Dublin, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., on Thursday, August 10, 2017. Mass of the Christian Burial, led by Father Clare Coleman will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery followed by a reception in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, Mass Cards or memorial donations to St. Patrick’s Church Building Fund, Don Bosco Missions or Mary’s Meals, would be appreciated.
